Introduction

Welcome to your personal account management guide! Whether you’re new here or a returning user, this walkthrough will help you navigate your account settings, update your information, and make the most out of your personalized features securely and efficiently.

Accessing your account dashboard

Before you can manage your personal details, you’ll need to log in and find your way around your account dashboard. Your account dashboard gives you quick access to your personal settings, subscription details, activity history, and any tools associated with your plan.

How to sign in

  • Visit the website or app’s homepage.

  • Click the “Sign In” or “Log In” button usually located at the top-right corner.

  • Enter your registered email address and password, then submit.

Navigating your dashboard

  • Once logged in, you’ll land on your personal dashboard—a centralized space where you can review and update your information.

  • Look for sections labeled Profile, Settings, Security, or Billing depending on what you need to manage.

Updating your personal information

Keeping your personal information accurate and current is essential for account security, effective communication, and access to all platform features. Whether you're updating your name, changing your contact details, or uploading a new profile picture, your account settings make it easy to manage your data. This ensures we can reach you when needed and helps tailor your experience based on your preferences.

Editing your profile

  • Go to the Profile or Account Info section.

  • Here you can update your name, contact details, profile photo, and other personal info.

  • After making changes, always remember to click Save or Update to confirm your edits.

Managing contact preferences

  • Adjust your email and notification preferences to control what updates and newsletters you receive.

  • Opt in or out of marketing communications easily via toggles or checkboxes.

Managing your password and security

Your account’s security starts with a strong, regularly updated password. Taking a few extra steps can help you keep your information safe and reduce the risk of unauthorized access.

Resetting your password

  • Head to the Security or Password section.

  • Enter your current password, then choose a strong new password (use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols).

  • Confirm the new password and save the changes.

  • If you’ve forgotten your password, use the Forgot Password? link on the login page to initiate a reset via email.

Enabling two-factor authentication

  • Look for a 2FA or Multi-Factor Authentication option within your security settings.

  • Follow the prompts to link your account to an authenticator app or phone number.

  • This extra step ensures that even if your password is compromised, your account remains protected.

Managing payment methods and billing

Keeping your payment methods and billing information up to date is crucial for ensuring seamless access to our services without interruption. Accurate billing details help avoid failed transactions and ensure that your invoices reflect the correct information for your records or accounting needs.

Adding or updating payment methods

  • Access the Billing or Payment Methods section from your dashboard.

  • Add a new credit/debit card or update existing card information.

  • Ensure your billing address matches the one linked to your payment provider.

Viewing transaction history

  • Review your past payments, invoices, and subscription statuses.

  • Download receipts or statements if needed for your records.

Account settings

Take control over your account’s behavior and privacy:

Customizing preferences

  • Modify language, time zone, and display settings to tailor your experience.

  • Configure app integrations or connected services if available.

Managing privacy controls

  • Review permissions on data sharing, ad preferences, and visibility of your profile information.

  • Adjust settings to limit who can see your profile or activity.

Logging out safely

Logging out of your account properly helps protect your personal information and prevents unauthorized access, especially when using shared or public devices. Always make sure to sign out after finishing your session to keep your account secure.

  • Find the Logout or Sign Out button—typically located in the top menu or account dropdown.

  • Confirm you want to log out, and close your browser or app afterward.

Can I try Opsium before committing?

Yes, in under 30 seconds, and we recommend it! Hit "Start Free Trial" up top, drop in your email, and we will send you a private demo organization, where you can explore Opsium with sample data or selected real data from your company. The goal is simple: you should clearly understand how Opsium would work for your business before making a decision. If you would rather have us walk you through it, the "Book a Demo" button does that too.

How does onboarding work? We have data everywhere.

Onboarding is guided, not self-service only. We start from understanding your real operating model. Our team works shoulder-to-shoulder with your operations lead or tech contact to map your existing structure: every person, project, assignment, rate card, time entry, invoice, and piece of historical data that matters for decision-making. You share your spreadsheets and exports, we import them. Where integrations are available, Opsium can pull data automatically from your existing tools. By the end of onboarding, Opsium is configured around your real business structure instead of starting as a blank system. The whole process is included in your plan at no extra cost.

Do we need to switch from our current tools?

No. Opsium is designed to work with the tools your team already uses. You can keep Jira for project work, Tempo or Clockify for time tracking, Google Workspace for team data, and QuickBooks for accounting. Opsium connects the operational data between these systems and turns it into a single source of truth for planning, margins, utilization, bench, and invoicing. Over time, some teams may choose to replace separate planning or spreadsheet-based workflows with Opsium, but you do not need to switch everything at once.

What integrations does Opsium support?

Opsium currently integrates with Google Workspace, Jira, Tempo, Clockify, and QuickBooks. Google Workspace helps sync team members. When time is logged in Jira, Tempo or Clockify, it flows automatically into capacity planning, project margin reports, and invoicing. No manual exports, no copy-paste between systems. QuickBooks supports a deeper two-way integration: you can view invoice numbers and statuses, generate invoices, and create vendor bills with custom line items. We are expanding integrations based on customer needs, but our priority is not just connecting tools, but making the data usable for planning, profitability, invoicing, and operational decisions.

Can different roles access different information?

Yes, and this is one of the things we obsessed over. Salary data, external rates, and invoices are not for everyone. Opsium has 7 permission categories (Planner, Team, Projects, Clients, Finance, Time Tracking, Settings) with view, create, edit, delete, and approve controls per category. Your CFO sees finance, your PMs see only their projects, your team members see only their schedule, and your CEO sees everything. Admins can configure permissions so Opsium matches your company structure.

How do you handle our sensitive data?

As if it were our own books. EU-hosted on AWS, with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Daily automated backups, 30-day retention. Role-based permissions are first-class: salary, rate, and financial data is gated behind explicit grants, not opt-out defaults. GDPR-compliant by design. No third-party sharing under any circumstance.

What kind of support do you provide?

Every customer gets a dedicated success contact for setup, integrations, and ongoing best practices. Support is available via email during business hours (8am to 7pm CET). Critical incidents are responded to within 4 hours and added directly to the development pipeline.

Why choose Opsium over other solutions?

1. Fast onboarding and data import at our cost, no implementation fees or lengthy setup projects. 2. We excel at operational intelligence. Proper rate management by person, role, project or rate-card with multi-currency support. Proactive alerts before problems hit. Complete change history tracking for all projects and team modifications at any moment with correct calculations even when rates change mid-month multiple times. 3. You get accurate real-time operational visibility across your entire service business. Your systems work together intelligently. All that tedious but critically important work for data accuracy is worth automating. And Opsium does it for you!
